Craniosacral therapy (CST) and Lymphatic Drainage (LD) are gentle, hands-on, light
touch, fully clothed techniques used to enhance the health and function of the
craniosacral, fascial and lymphatic systems. Dysfunctions and imbalances of the
craniosacral and fascial systems may arise from stressors, physical and emotional
traumas, health issues and even from the birth process. Because of its light touch
approach, it is safe for newborns to adults.
CST and LD have been known to improve a wide variety of symptoms and conditions,
including, but not limited to : pain, anxiety, stress, PTSD, hip, neck and back concerns,
poor posture, fascial restriction, sinusitis, TMJ, Trigeminal nerve, airway issues, pre &
post-surgical care, edema, ropey scars, C-section healing, inflammation, poor feeding
latch, infant head tilt, infant flat head, gut & autoimmune issues, colic, gas, newborn
cephalohematoma, ear infections, eczema and more.
Newborns, children, teens, and adults all benefit from CST and LD. Sessions are adapted
to be age appropriate – i.e. babies & young children are often treated in the parent’s
arms. After a session, adults and teens often feel relaxed, more focused and have
increased mobility and reduced pain. Babies and children often feed, sleep and digest
better and are more socially engaged.
