Tessa Vining, LCSW, LCADC, CCS

The Mind Body Therapy Collective Co-founder

FUN FACT: I grew up in Montclair!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), and an Accredited Clinical Supervisor in NJ with over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, families, and couples.

My clinical career started in 2002 working in various agencies, mostly with a focus on adolescent addiction and the complexity of addiction on one’s physical and mental well-being, brain development, family and interpersonal relationships, as well as societal interactions.

My work over the years, particularly with young people struggling with addiction, has demonstrated how physical and emotional trauma can affect our well-being and how a holistic approach can offer long-lasting healing and transformation.

In the past 10 years, I have integrated innovative therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and EMDR, among others, to help my clients achieve meaningful change.

With my business background (my first career path) I am excited to create a collective community of psychotherapists, practitioners, and healers with a similar belief around the interconnectivity of the body and mind. Creating a space for us to come together to share ideas, learn, share space, and support each other’s professional and personal growth.

I offer multiple approaches in both traditional therapy and alternative treatments, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Mindfulness Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Internal Family Systems with Presence Integration
